2Way Development provides its clients with
an opportunity to carry out skilled voluntary positions overseas. The
nature of the relationship between persons purchasing services from
2Way Development (the client) and 2Way Development themselves (the
company) are as follows:
1.
The company will charge a fee for the service of matching the skills
of their clients with the work of organisations overseas.
2.
The client will pay a 50% deposit of the full service fee to the
company to start the process of securing a placement.
3.
Clients will attend a personal consultation, where they will set the
basis upon which the company will carry out its service.
4.
The company will present the client with a reasonable choice of
potential host organisations that match their proven skills and
abilities, of which the client can select one. At this point the
client will choose a short list of organisations for which placement
outlines will be developed. The client will pay a further 25% of the
service fee at this point.
5.
When selecting a host organisation and resulting placement, clients
should take responsibility for determining the right placement to suit
their personal preferences, and should consider carefully the
information provided by 2Way Development. Once the client has accepted
a placement, or 2 months prior to their departure, whichever is
earliest, they are required to pay the full service fee.
6.
Upon receipt of the full service fee, clients will receive a welcome
pack containing practical and up-to-date information on volunteering.
Apart from the placement itself, the client is responsible for
organising all details of their overseas experience such as travel and
visas.
7.
A placement outline will be organised by the company in relation to
the volunteer placement, in consultation with the host organisation
and the client. This will set the terms of the volunteer placement.
This outline should be seen as a guide to the nature of the voluntary
placement, but not a guarantee to the tasks clients will carry out.
Once overseas, the client is responsible for their own welfare as well
as their placement.
8.
Upon arrival at their placement destination, clients will be met from
the airport by a representative from their host organisation, and
taken to either their place of work or temporary residence.
9.
On occasion clients will be provided with accommodation by their host
organisations, and full details of the type of accommodation will be
provided to clients before they depart the UK. Although all possible
means will be taken by the company to ensure that the accommodation
meets certain minimum standards (safe, clean, modest furniture,
access to water & cooking facilities), the company accepts no
responsibility for the accommodation provided, and will not be held
accountable if any changes are made by the client or host organisation
to this accommodation, or if the client is unhappy with the type of
accommodation provided.
10.
The client is responsible for their own health, safety and insurance
during their placement and emergency procedures suggested by their
insurer. They should also keep informed of security issues.
11.
The client is responsible for all costs associated with the placement.
12.
The company accepts no liability for any personal harm or loss or
damage of personal property, caused during placements.
Refunds of fee:
13.1
The 50% deposit is non-refundable except where the company fails to
present a reasonable number of placement choices to the client.
13.2
If the client wishes to terminate
their relationship with 2Way Development before they depart the UK,
there will be no financial obligation apart from monies already paid
which will be non-refundable.
13.3
When overseas the client is responsible for their own placement and
its nature, and no refunds of fees will be given after this time
13.4
The company accepts no liability for any financial or personal loss
caused by a frustration of contract between the client and host
organisation
